Landscape Install Laborer This is a skilled position for modifying the landscape terrain and doing miscellaneous tasks that will correlate with other aspects of projects that SSL may do, along with the standard practices of SSL. Perform duties required for job. Examples include but are not limited to:
Loading equipment and supplies
Learning and knowing landscaping standards
Being proactive
Keeping SSL property well-maintained and clean
Laying sod
Raking and shoveling
Lifting 100 pounds continuously
Kneeling for multiple hours at a time
Ensure tools are put up in proper place
Safety checks on hand equipment, site and more
Working in outside conditions for long hours
Holding SSL standards
Driver Duties include but are not limited to safe operation of motorized and non-motorized vehicles. Motorized and non-motorized equipment includes skid steer, track loader, mini excavators, tractors, and any/all attachments related to each piece of equipment, shovels, and hand rakes. Additional tools operators should be familiar with are laser level, 4-foot levels, power tools, etc. Equipment operators are responsible for safe operation of equipment, with high standard operating practices. Equipment operators are also responsible for maintaining which include but are not limited to cleaning, filling fuel, greasing, checking fluids, and ensuring everything is working as designed by manufacturer. It is the operator’s responsibility to report any issues, damage, or concerns with any piece of equipment to foreman and/or upper management.
Assistant Foreman/Driver The assistant foreman/driver assists the foreman on site with landscape activities by motivating and taking lead on tasks that are required to complete the landscaping project in a timely efficient manner. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Running errands / taking reputability for loading trucks
Making sure truck and locations is safe for work
Holding landscaping standards
Being proactive
Safety checks on equipment and site
Effectively communicating with management and crew
Taking responsibility for tasks when foreman is unavailable
Aiding management/foreman when applicable
Assisting/supervising use of equipment
Helping crew in ensuring staff observe safety guidelines and protocols
